Tru By Hilton Charlotte Airport Lake Pointe

We had to stay over in Charlotte due to a cancelled flight. We had a short Lyft drive to the hotel. The lobby upon check in was loud because the bar is right in the lobby. Our room was small but we didn't care because it had everything we needed, including squeeze bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash on the wall in the shower. There's even a hairdryer in the bathroom in a cute little tote. The sheets are so soft! We also liked the actual clock on the bedside table. There is free coffee in the lobby and the hotel's airport shuttle picked us up at 5:00AM as promised. We were happy with our brief stay.

Beds super comfy. Great workout room. Loved the little shaving shelf in shower. Staff were amazing. I arrived at 10pm and had to leave to the airport next day by 5:30am. When I scheduled the shuttle they realized I'd miss breakfast and quickly packed me a sack breakfast to take with me. Extremely thoughtful and it was a godsend.

8/202 I loved everything about this hotel, literally everything. To be honest, I feel picky when rating hotels because I’m a light sleeper and usually only like to sleep in one place (my bed). The hotel was very clean, modern and the rooms were quiet. The service was excellent from before checking in and all the way through checkout. The staff made sure we had what we needed, our accommodations were met, and I honestly loved that they emailed me the receipt before checkout and the final receipt at checkout (why can’t more places do this?) Can’t forget the complimentary water at check-in… they knew we were dehydrated. There was many chairs and places to lounge/ relax. Almost every seat and table had a USB port and outlet to plug-in your electronic devices. I didn’t get to checkout the bar, but it was lively. The gym was outstanding and wasn’t solely cardio machines, but actually had weights. So 10/10 there. I would revisit again, and definitely recommend this hotel. Even if you are visiting Downtown, the drive was only about 15-20 minutes, so it was well worth it to have top notch service and quality beds / sleep. If your bag gets lost in luggage, no worries, the rooms have body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap. The desk was WELL stocked with goodies and necessities too. Final comment, I liked that the AC unit was not the loud type that wakes you up every-time it kicks on.

The breakfast was much like home. There was a variety of choices and the hot food was hot, the cold food were cold. The setting was very comfortable. The people that was sitting with other people were very polite as to not be loud and obnoxious using inside voices allowing guest to sit and eat comfortably. This is the 3rd time I booked at Tru and every time I visit Charlotte I will be staying there. The staff was helpful and ver friendly. Answering any question and making sure your stay was a good one. Shuttle service and drivers were excellent! Entire facility was exceptionally clean. Exercise room was larger than the majority of hotels I've stayed at and the equipment was in good condition.
